The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully neutralized 88 out of 152 Russian drones launched during a recent attack. This information was shared by the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on their Telegram channel.
On the evening of October 6, the enemy launched an assault using two ballistic missiles of the "Iskander-M/KN-23" type from the Rostov region and 152 strike UAVs, including Shahed, "Gerbera" and other drones, from the directions of: Orel, Kursk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 80 of these were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 AM on October 7, the air defense had downed 88 UAVs in the northern and eastern regions of the country.
Hits were recorded from two missiles and 52 strike drones at 10 different locations, as well as debris from downed targets at two locations. The attack is ongoing, and several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
