Analysis of Shelling in Sumy Region from October 2 to 3
Within a 24-hour period from the morning of October 2 to the morning of October 3, Russian forces conducted 35 shelling attacks across 19 settlements in eight territorial communities of the Sumy region. This information was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on its Facebook page.
The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
The enemy targeted settlements in the Sumy, Mykolaiv, Khotyn, Yunakiv, Krasnopillia, Shostka, Esman, and Andriashivka communities.
The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs, delivering over 10 KAB strikes.
Additionally, attacks were made using FPV drones, multiple rocket launchers, missile strikes, and UAV attacks on Sumy territory.
Damage and destruction were reported to civil infrastructure facilities:
- A private house was damaged in the Esman community;
- A civil infrastructure facility was damaged in the Shostka community;
- A private residential house was damaged in the Mykolaiv rural community;
- A private residential house was damaged in the Sumy community;
- In the Andriashivka community, several private houses and farm buildings were damaged.
During the day, local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, National Police, and community organizations from border areas, evacuated four people.
The air raid alert lasted for 18 hours and 22 minutes throughout the day.
