Tragic Consequences of Rocket Attack in Zaporizhzhia
At around 4:30 AM on September 22, Russian forces launched strikes on civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, leading to the destruction of vehicles, fires, and resulting in three deaths and four injuries.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, via Telegram.
“The Russians directed at least five aerial bombs at the city. They targeted civilian and industrial facilities,” noted Ivan Fedorov.
According to Fedorov, vehicles were destroyed and damaged as a result of the attack. Fires erupted in the area.
Updated: At 6 AM, Fedorov reported that a woman had died due to the Russian shelling.
At 6:40 AM, the head of the OVA stated that the death toll had risen to two.
“Two people have died, two are injured. One of the injured is in serious condition. Medical personnel are providing all necessary assistance,” Fedorov reported.
In a news marathon broadcast, he mentioned that there are currently four injured individuals, one of whom is in critical condition.
The State Emergency Service added that there might be a person trapped under the rubble of a destroyed private house.
At 8 AM, the State Emergency Service reported that they had recovered the body of a deceased woman from under the rubble of a private house in Zaporizhzhia, thus raising the number of casualties from this Russian strike to three.
“One of the impacts caused a fire in the parking lot: a two-story building and five cars were ablaze over an area of 100 square meters. Rescuers, medical personnel, psychologists, and emergency service pyrotechnics are working at the strike sites,” the service added.
