Defense Forces Neutralize Drone Attack on Ukraine
On the evening of September 21, Russian aggressors launched an attack on Ukraine, with air defense forces neutralizing 132 out of 141 drones.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
On the night of September 22 (from 21:00 on September 21), the enemy launched 141 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types from directions including Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – RF, and Chauda - TOT Crimea, around 80 of which were Shaheds.
The airstrike was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 08:30, preliminary data indicated that 132 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera types, and other drones were shot down or suppressed across the north, south, east, and center of the country.
Nine strike UAVs were recorded hitting seven locations, with wreckage falling in eight areas. Additionally, from 4 to 6 AM on September 22, the enemy conducted airstrikes on the infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia city, with bomb releases recorded from tactical aviation aircraft in the Tokmak area – TOT Zaporizhzhia region. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population.
