Emergency Situation in Kyiv Region: Consequences and Responses
Following an emergency in the Kyiv region that damaged railway infrastructure, three women required medical assistance due to acute stress reactions.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kalagnyk, via Telegram.
«Due to the emergency event, railway infrastructure was damaged in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region. Together with the team from Ukrzaliznytsia and the relevant services, we are working on mitigating the consequences,» he stated.
According to the official, passenger transfers were organized for train No. 73 from Kharkiv to Przemysl to Kyiv: part of the passengers were transported by bus, while the rest will continue by train on a modified route.
Medical assistance was provided to three women due to their acute stress reaction. An emergency medical team is accompanying passengers to the capital.
«During the recovery operations, long-distance trains will be rerouted around the damaged section through Myronivka or Korosten. This means deviations from the schedule, however, railway workers are accelerating trains and are manually managing all necessary connections,» Kalagnyk noted.
He emphasized that the work to eliminate the aftermath of the emergency continues and should be completed soon.
As reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia has changed several routes due to infrastructure damage in the Kyiv region, which occurred as a result of the emergency.
