Alterations in Train Services Due to Emergency Situation
Due to an emergency situation, several trains passing through Boyarka in the Kyiv region will temporarily follow altered routes.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia on their Facebook page.
"Due to infrastructure damage near Kyiv, a number of trains passing through Boyarka station will operate on modified routes," the statement said.
The company emphasized that the safety of passengers and train crews is a top priority.
"Further information regarding schedule changes will be provided later," they added.
Railway officials clarified that trains on the Koyazyn and Berdychiv routes will detour through Korosten, while trains to Fastiv will bypass through Myronivka and Trypillia-Dniprovske.
"Yes, train No. 23 Kyiv - Chelm is already following the modified route via Korosten with a delay, but we will expedite it to reduce this delay. Passengers from Berdychiv station will be picked up by our train 31 with a subsequent transfer," the company stated.
Additionally, train No. 139 Kyiv - Kamianets-Podilskyi, No. 141/143 Sumy, Chernihiv - Rakhiv, and No. 21/103 Kramatorsk, Kharkiv - Lviv will also follow altered paths.
Meanwhile, the head of the Kyiv OVA Mykola Kalashnyk informed that "the explosions heard by the region's residents are not related to enemy air attacks". He emphasized that no enemy aerial targets were recorded in the region, and there was no air raid alert.
"Emergency services are on-site. All necessary actions are being taken. More detailed information will be provided later," Kalashnyk noted.
Earlier, social media reported strong explosions in Kyiv region.
It was previously reported that in July, Ukrzaliznytsia altered the schedules of several passenger trains due to stormy weather conditions in Transcarpathia and in Slovakia and Hungary.
