Air Defense Success: Latest Attack Reports
The Ukrainian armed forces effectively safeguarded the airspace by neutralizing 386 drones and 27 missiles launched by Russian aggressors on the evening of September 9.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force Command on Telegram.
From 17:00 on September 9, Russian forces intensified attacks on Ukraine using strike drones and missiles of various origins.
In total, radio engineering troops of the Air Force accompanied 458 aerial threats:
- 415 strike drones, including Shahed type and other drones from directions such as Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea), with over 250 being Shahed drones;
- 42 cruise and aviation missiles, including X-101, "Kalibr", X-59 (69) from Saratov region and the Black Sea area;
- one ballistic missile "Iskander-M/KN-23" from Voronezh region.
Air defense, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled the aerial attacks.
As of 09:00 on September 10, preliminary data showed that air defense had shot down 413 aerial targets:
- 386 drones of Shahed type and others;
- 27 cruise and aviation missiles X-101, "Kalibr", X-59 (69).
There were reports of 16 missile hits and 21 strike drones at 17 locations.
At least eight enemy drones crossed the state border of Ukraine towards the Republic of Poland.
