Following a missile strike carried out by Russian forces, the number of casualties among the demining humanitarian mission near Chernihiv has risen to two dead and three injured.
This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus.
“Currently, we know of two fatalities and three injured individuals who are receiving medical assistance,” he stated.
Chaus emphasized that Russian troops deliberately targeted the workers of the humanitarian mission “Danish Refugee Council,” who were operating in the Kyseliv community close to Chernihiv.
“Initially, the Russians contaminated the area with explosives and mines. Now they are killing civilians who risk their lives to clear our land from the consequences of the Russian invasion,” he stressed.
Earlier, it was reported that as a result of this missile attack, one person had died, and two others were injured.
