Drone Assault: Ukraine's Air Defense Neutralizes Major Threats

The air defense forces successfully neutralized 61 out of 85 drones that Russian troops used to attack Ukraine on the evening of August 15.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.

According to the information, at 19:30 on August 15, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with a ballistic missile "Iskander-M" and 85 strike drones of the Shahed type, as well as imitator drones from various directions, including Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo (RF), and Hvardiyiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The attack targeted frontline areas in the Sumy, Donetsk, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The air assault was repelled by the electronic warfare units and drone systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Preliminary data as of 08:00 on August 16 indicates that air defense shot down 61 drones in the north and east of Ukraine.
