Since the beginning of the year, nearly 700 hectares of farmland have been destroyed by fires caused by enemy shelling in the Zaporizhzhia area.
This was reported via Telegram by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.
"In 2025, 27 agricultural enterprises suffered due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. More than 55 buildings and over 155 units of agricultural machinery were either destroyed or damaged. Almost 700 hectares of crops have burned down," he said.
"Despite the losses, the 2025 harvest campaign is already nearing completion - over 240 thousand tons of grain have been harvested," Fedorov added.
"Thanks to the dedicated work of farmers, who carry out their tasks daily with dignity, courage, and immense love for their homeland, the region will be provided with its own bread and grain," he wrote on Telegram.
