In the last 24 hours, the Russian army has launched over 60 attacks on the Sumy region, affecting 25 populated areas.
According to Ukrinform, this information was shared by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Facebook.
“In the Sumy community, a 75-year-old woman was injured due to a drone attack. From the morning of June 20 to the morning of June 21, 2025, Russian forces executed more than 60 shellings across 25 populated areas in 10 territorial communities. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts,” the report states.
It is noted that the enemy conducted over 30 drops of VOGs from drones and around 10 strikes with guided bombs. Additionally, the Russians targeted the Sumy region with FPV drones and UAVs.
Damage was inflicted on civil infrastructure. In the Sumy community, a roof was damaged, and about 20 windows were shattered in two five-story residential buildings.
During the day, local authorities, together with the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and community organizations from border areas, evacuated 58 people.
