Tragedy in Kyiv: Casualty Count Rises to 24
In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, rescuers have recovered 8 more bodies from the rubble of a 9-story building destroyed by a Russian missile, raising the total number of casualties to 24.

The service reports: "In the Solomyansky district, search operations continued throughout the night. As of 07:00, the bodies of 5 more deceased individuals were retrieved from the partially collapsed 9-story building."
Updated: Less than an hour later, the SES reported that another body (male) had been recovered from the rubble in the Solomyansky district.
Direct quote from SES spokesperson Svetlana Vodolaga: "Currently, the total number of deceased stands at 22 individuals. Of these, 17 are from the Solomyansky district, 3 are from the facility in the Darnytskyi district, 1 deceased person was found in an apartment in the Darnytskyi district, and 1 individual died in the hospital."
When asked how many more people are being searched for under the rubble, Vodolaga stated: "We do not have such data. The city authorities reported a certain number of people who are out of contact. We know that 35 apartments have been destroyed. The work continues."
At 9:05, KMVA chief Timur Tkachенко announced that rescuers had retrieved the body of a woman, bringing the casualty count in the Solomyansky district to 18. In total, there are already 23 deceased in the capital due to the Russian attack on the night of June 17.
At 10:30, the SES announced that another body had been recovered from the rubble. The total number of casualties from the Russian strike on Kyiv has now risen to 24.
