As a result of recent repatriation efforts, the bodies of 1200 individuals who lost their lives in the conflict have been returned to Ukraine.
According to the Russian side, these bodies belong to Ukrainian citizens, particularly military personnel. The repatriation occurred in accordance with agreements reached in Istanbul.
The return of the bodies was made possible through the joint efforts of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, and other governmental bodies.
Law enforcement agencies, together with expert institutions, will conduct all necessary examinations to identify the repatriated bodies.

Special thanks go to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who facilitate the transportation of the repatriated individuals to designated state facilities and organize their handover to law enforcement bodies.
