Rescue of Children from Occupied Areas of Kherson
Another 11 children have been successfully returned from temporarily occupied areas of Kherson, now under Ukrainian control.
This was announced on Friday, June 13, by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

“Eleven children from the temporarily occupied Kherson region have finally made it back to Ukraine-controlled territory,” Prokudin stated.
The return was made possible thanks to the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky called “Bring Kids Back UA” and the efforts of the charity organization “Save Ukraine”.
The group consists of 8 girls and 3 boys, who are being raised in nine different families. The youngest child is only four years old, while the oldest is seventeen. Among them is also one child who is without parental care.
According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the occupying authorities exerted significant pressure on these children. They were forced to follow the Russian educational program and participate in propaganda activities.
Some of the children experienced “visits” from armed members of the Russian FSB and even spent time in so-called “re-education camps.” All this occurred, as Prokudin emphasized, solely because they are Ukrainians.
Currently, all returned children are safe. They and their families are receiving all necessary medical, psychological, and social support.
According to the head of the OVA, since the beginning of 2025, 67 children have been successfully evacuated from the temporarily occupied areas of Kherson.
