Tragic Night in Kharkiv: New Casualties from Drone Attack
On the night of June 11, Kharkiv was subjected to a brutal assault as Russian forces launched 17 drones of the "Shahed" type. This large-scale attack resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 60 people, including 9 children. Residential buildings, trolleybuses, playgrounds, and businesses were damaged.
According to the mayor of Kharkiv, the attack began at 00:31 and lasted until 00:40. The Russians targeted residential areas of the city.
Tereshkov reported direct hits on apartment buildings, private houses, children's playgrounds, public transport, and industrial sites. Fires erupted in residential apartments, roofs were destroyed, cars were burned, and windows were shattered by the blast wave. The strike also damaged trolleybuses and municipal facilities.
Currently, it is known that two people have died, and at least 54 have been injured, including eight children. A 2-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were taken to the hospital. Several individuals were rescued from burning apartments.
"In the Slobodsky district, enemy drone hits were recorded at the trolleybus depot. Nine injured individuals were hospitalized, including two children," reported the head of the regional administration.
Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv regional administration, announced that the number of injured has risen to 57, with medical personnel providing necessary assistance.
Update: At 9 AM, Synegubov stated that there are now 60 injured in Kharkiv, including 9 children aged between 2 and 15 years.
