During the night of June 4, Russian forces attacked the infrastructure of the Lebedyn community in the Sumy region, affecting a bioethanol production facility.
This was reported by the press service of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
Preliminary reports indicate that 12 drones were involved in the attack. The drones targeted the facility located in the village of the community, leading to a fire.
“This was a plant for bioethanol production. Tanks were damaged, and molasses spilled. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” the statement said.
In addition to the industrial buildings, about 10 private houses were damaged.
Specialists are assessing the environmental impact. The final scale of the destruction is still being determined.
