Direct quote from Dujarric: "Our position remains unchanged: we seek an end to the war… It must be principled, consistent, and firmly based on the UN Charter, international law, and all relevant resolutions".
Dujarric emphasized that peace must be sustainable and recognize Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also noted that the UN values any efforts toward resolving the war in Ukraine that align with "the position I have expressed many, many, many times".
In response to a question regarding the involvement of North Korean troops in Russia's war against Ukraine, acknowledged by both Russia and North Korea, the spokesperson succinctly replied: "I believe any internationalization of any conflict is the wrong direction".
