Trump Expresses Concern Over Russian Actions

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed concern over recent Russian missile strikes on Kyiv and highlighted his uncertainty about Vladimir Putin's intentions to end the conflict.

Trump indicated that he is troubled by Putin's actions, particularly following the missile attacks on the Ukrainian capital, and expressed doubt about the sincerity of the Russian president's intentions.

"Let's see what happens in the next few days. I hope we will learn more. I am very troubled by the fact that missiles are being launched from Russia," Trump said as he departed New Jersey.

According to him, Putin must show readiness for peace talks.

"I want him to stop shooting, sit down at the negotiating table, and sign an agreement," Trump emphasized.

"I believe we have a basis for an agreement, and I hope he will sign it, so everything can end and life can return to normal," he added.

Commenting on his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in the Vatican, Trump noted that the Ukrainian president is doing everything possible for his country.

Direct quote: "It was a productive meeting. He wants to do something positive for his country. He is working hard. What happens next, we will see. He told me he needs more weapons, and he has been saying this from the start."

Additionally, Trump mentioned that he noticed Zelensky has become "calmer" and more interested in achieving a peace agreement.

Trump specifically stated that Zelensky is willing to consider options for relinquishing Crimea. "I think that’s the case," Trump said.
