President Volodymyr Zelensky has posthumously awarded the F-16 pilot Pavlo Ivanov the title of Hero of Ukraine.

Quote: "For exceptional courage and heroism displayed in the defense of the state's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and dedicated service to the Ukrainian people, I hereby decree:
To confer the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the "Golden Star" Order to Pavlo Ivanov – Major (posthumously)".
Background: On April 12, during a combat mission on an F-16 aircraft, 26-year-old pilot Pavlo Ivanov was killed.
Zelensky noted that he received reports from military officials regarding this combat situation, and all circumstances of the event are being clarified.
