A New Era of Cooperation: Ukraine and Slovakia
Members of the mobile air defense group from Bucha participated in a significant conference aimed at enhancing relations between Ukraine and Slovakia.
In Bratislava, an international conference titled “Slovakia and Ukraine: A Joint Path to Prosperity” took place, featuring representatives from the ‘Buchan Witches’ group from Bucha.
This event marked a pivotal step in strengthening ties between the two nations and reaffirmed Slovakia's support for Ukraine’s European aspirations. The conference aimed to develop cooperation in the areas of recovery, education, and economic development, continuing agreements made earlier in Košice.
During the event, Ukrainian defenders shared stories about women fighting for Ukraine, their strength, resilience, and faith in victory.
Participants noted that Slovakia is not just a neighboring country for Ukraine, but a partner in the struggle for freedom and a shared European future.
The ‘Buchan Witches’ are more than just a military unit. They are a community of women who chose not to wait for someone to protect them. Each has her own story of pain and loss, but they share a common desire to defend their home, ready to take up arms.
