Kyiv's March for Freedom Against Human Trafficking

Recently, Kyiv hosted the event «March for Freedom», marking the European Day Against Human Trafficking. The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about this critical issue and provide information on how to assist victims. This was reported by the Kyiv police.

Participants included local law enforcement, city administration staff, social service representatives, community organizations, educators, and students.

«Combating human trafficking requires collective efforts from law enforcement, government bodies, and society. Forced labor, sexual exploitation, involvement in criminal activities, and begging are crimes targeting those seeking help who instead find themselves trapped. It is essential for everyone to understand the risks and know where to seek help in case of danger,» said Denis Boikov, Deputy Head of the Migration Police Department in Kyiv.

During the event, law enforcement distributed informational leaflets with advice on preventing human trafficking and hotlines.
