Honoring the Memory of Children Lost in Ukraine
First Lady Olena Zelenska and Princess Anne, sister of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, visited a memorial dedicated to Ukrainian children killed by Russian forces yesterday. Olena Zelenska shared this news on her Telegram account.
«Yesterday, along with Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and Daria Gerasimchuk, the President's Commissioner for Children's Rights, we honored the memory of Ukrainian children who have been killed by Russia», - stated Olena Zelenska.
She emphasized that Russian invaders have taken the lives of 657 children in Ukraine. «We remember and mourn every loss, and we will not forgive a single act of violence», - the First Lady stressed.
She also reminded that in just the last three days, Russian aggression has claimed the lives of three children.
«Twelve-year-old Oleksandra was killed three days ago, on Sunday, in her home during a morning shelling of Kyiv. And yesterday, in Sumy region, Russian terrorists killed brothers, four-year-old Denys and six-year-old Yehor, along with their pregnant mother and father in a drone strike», - she said.
It is worth noting that Princess Anne visited Ukraine on an unannounced trip, where she met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
