Ukrainian Rescuers Gain International Recognition
The international commission has confirmed that the Ukrainian rescue team is capable of conducting missions anywhere in the world.
The State Emergency Service (SES) successfully met the stringent UN standards, achieving the heavy-class team status under the INSARAG methodology. This was announced by SES officials.
The international committee was impressed by the professionalism and equipment of the Ukrainian specialists. INSARAG representative Terje Skavdal concluded: "Your team is one of the best in the world, and I look forward to working with you".
Ukrainian rescuers have previously assisted other countries, notably participating in the aftermath of the earthquake in Turkey in 2023.
In a show of support, the Polish State Fire Service provided modern equipment to the Ukrainian emergency responders, further enhancing their capabilities and demonstrating Ukraine's readiness for any challenges.
Additionally, capital city rescuers received a unique fire truck, which is primarily designed to ensure a continuous water supply during major fire-fighting efforts. This technology is especially crucial in areas lacking fire water supply sources or facing access difficulties.
