On June 24, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, successfully completed the evacuation of 31 Ukrainian citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This was reported by the GUR.
Among those evacuated were 5 men, 12 women, and 14 children.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all parties involved and with the support of international partners, the evacuation was carried out transit through Azerbaijan to Moldova. Currently, all evacuees are heading to Kyiv.
This marks the final stage of a comprehensive operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in Israel and Iran aimed at rescuing Ukrainian citizens from high-risk areas, GUR noted.
