Ukrainian Team Dominates European Horting Championship

The Ukrainian horting team emerged as champions of Europe by securing the first overall position.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Horting Federation.
The championship took place from April 25 to 28 in Milan, Italy, featuring 64 athletes from various regions of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Rivne, Zakarpattia, and Kyiv.
The competitors fought for nearly 180 sets of medals across three categories: sparring, grappling, and police self-defense. The age groups started from 12 years old.
By the end of the Euro-2025 competition, the Ukrainians had won 57 gold medals, making them the champions of the championship. Italy took the second place, while France came in third.
Horting is a modern martial art developed in Ukraine. The founders explain that the term horting originates from the name of the island of Khortytsia, where the Zaporizhian Sich was located.
