Alina Dmytruk Reaches Semifinals at World Fencing Championship

Ukrainian fencer Alina Dmytruk has successfully advanced to the semifinals of the cadet world championship taking place in China.

In the quarterfinals, the 16-year-old from Lviv triumphed over Korean fencer Lee Re Na with a score of 15:8, ensuring at least a bronze medal for herself.

In the match for a spot in the finals, Alina will face Hong Kong's Wu Haidi, who narrowly defeated another Ukrainian fencer, Valeria Bilous-Hrydziak, with a score of 15:14 in the previous round.

Earlier, Maxim Perchuk secured the first medal for Ukraine at this championship, winning bronze.
