National-Patriotic Education Event for Students in Kyiv
The «Kyiv Military Hub» hosted an event aimed at fostering national-patriotic education among students of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. The goal of the event was to cultivate a conscious civic stance in the youth through dialogue with veteran warriors who personally participated in combat operations.
During the meeting, representatives of the «Kyiv Military Hub» introduced their activities to the students. The youth also got acquainted with the photographs of Hero of Ukraine Ruslan Borovyk, who died on April 29, 2022, in fierce battles in Kharkiv region.
Veterans shared their stories of participation in military operations. Military psychologist Vera spoke about her journey, the objectives of the «Kyiv Military Hub», and the importance of societal support for veterans.
«In tough moments of combat, it’s crucial not only to complete military tasks but also to provide psychological support to comrades. The moral state of soldiers often determines both the success of operations and the effectiveness of rehabilitation and adaptation to civilian life as veterans,» Vera noted.
Roman Ushev, Mykhailo Pleshakov, and Vladislav Bitkovsky shared their life stories. The Heroes recounted the challenges veterans face after leaving service.
«War does not end when you leave the battlefield. It remains inside you. It’s important for both fighters and society to understand that rehabilitation is a long-term process that requires support, understanding, and awareness,» emphasized Roman Ushev.
Additionally, students had the opportunity to converse with veterans and discuss aspects of rehabilitation, psychological support, and social adaptation after the war.
The presentation of the «Kyiv Military Hub» demonstrated to the youth that veterans not only defend the country on the battlefield but also continue their service through support and rehabilitation of comrades in peaceful life.
