The department also reminded that people with hearing or speech impairments can use the 112 line. Operators accept calls in sign language through video communication. In 2.5 years of operation, more than 43 thousand such calls have been recorded.
Overall, according to the Ministry, since the launch, the 112 service has received over 10.5 million citizen calls.
Additionally, the «112 Ukraine» app allows users to contact emergency services without mobile reception – only Wi-Fi is needed.
«This app serves as an alternative channel for reporting emergencies. It will be useful when in shelters or public places,» the ministry emphasized.
Since January 15, the 112 line has been accepting reports about the lack of heat, water, and electricity supply.
