Mastercard Launches New Lounge Area in Kyiv
In Kyiv, at the Southern Railway Station, Mastercard has introduced a new lounge area that enhances the travel experience for passengers. The Lounge ONE: Kyiv provides a comfortable waiting environment with spaces for relaxation, work, food, beverages, and luggage storage facilities.
Covering an area of 400 square meters, the lounge accommodates 90 seats and is located on the third floor of the station, accessible by stairs, escalator, or elevator. It is designed to be accessible for people with disabilities and operates 24/7, though it closes during air raid alerts for safety reasons.
Holders of World Elite Mastercard® and World Mastercard® Black Edition cards can access the lounge free of charge.
Entry requires showing a Mastercard card. Access is granted with a valid train ticket for the day of the visit, and children under 7 can enter for free when accompanied by a cardholder. Guests are allowed 1.5 hours of stay with the option to extend for an additional fee. The lounge is also pet-friendly.
Services provided by LoungeOne: Kyiv from Mastercard include:
Workspaces: high-speed Wi-Fi and 21 charging outlets for laptops and devices. The area is furnished with comfortable seating for work or relaxation.
Food and beverages: complimentary coffee, tea, water, and snacks are always available, and each guest can order one free dish from Milk Bar.
Meeting room: a separate space for business meetings that can be reserved in advance or used without reservation if available.
Additional amenities include shower facilities equipped with towels and hygiene kits, as well as secure luggage storage services.
Lounge ONE: Kyiv complements Mastercard's offerings for travelers on Ukrainian Railways. The Meet&Greet service assists with luggage, fast-tracks security checks, and provides escort to the train.
According to Mastercard Travel Insights, 51% of Ukrainian consumers prefer trains for travel, and 47% continue to travel as much or more than before the full-scale invasion. Key reasons for travel include family and friend reunions, relaxation, exploration, and business trips.
In partnership with Ukrainian Railways, Mastercard has implemented several services to enhance travel comfort, including supporting the launch of the UZ mobile app in 2022, which simplifies ticket purchasing for millions of passengers. The app now has 6 million users and over 50 million tickets sold.
