Today, January 26, repair works will commence in the capital of Ukraine with the involvement of 17 brigades from cities like Chernihiv, Ternopil, Poltava, and Vinnytsia. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal following a meeting of the Emergency Situations Response Headquarters.
He also noted that another 20 brigades could be called in if necessary.
A report was made regarding the stability of mobile networks and internet connectivity during power outages.
“It is crucial to maximize the autonomy of base stations… Work is ongoing to restore heat supply. Two cogeneration units have already arrived in the capital today, and next week we expect two more. It has been decided to send an additional 50 tons of diesel fuel from the reserves of the Ministry of Energy to power large generators serving critical facilities and homes. According to the Ministry of Development, 166 brigades have been working throughout the day to address the consequences of Russian attacks. During the night, 74 brigades will continue their work,” Shmyhal stated.
Unfortunately, over 800,000 subscribers in Kyiv are still without electricity.
