Celebrating the Day of Radio Technical Troops: A Tribute to Valor and Expertise
Every year on November 30, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Radio Technical Troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This holiday was established on September 16, 2010, by the order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, recognizing the significance of radio technical troops in the nation's defense and enhancing the prestige of military service.
Radio technical troops play a crucial role in gathering information about the air situation, conducting radio reconnaissance, and alerting military units.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that thanks to the radio technical troops, Ukrainians receive timely warnings about aerial threats.
“On November 30, we celebrate the Day of Radio Technical Troops – a day honoring those who ensure early detection of air threats and relay information for air defense,” he declared.
He emphasized that it is the servicemen of the radio technical troops who provide timely warnings about dangers.
“Dear radio technicians! Your work often goes unnoticed, but it is crucial for decision-makers,” Syrskyi stressed.
He also noted that during the initial hours of Russia's full-scale invasion, the radio troops managed to maintain command systems and provide essential information to the Air Force.
“I sincerely congratulate the radio troops on their professional holiday. I wish you good health, reliable equipment, and peaceful skies. We remember our fallen comrades who lost their lives at the hands of ruthless Russian occupiers during their service,” he concluded.
