Winter Support Program 2025: New Opportunities
Ukrposhta will implement the «Winter Support Program 2025» throughout Ukraine, including frontline regions.
This program, approved by the Government for 2025–2026, provides a one-time payment of 1000 hryvnias for all Ukrainian citizens, except those living abroad or in temporarily occupied territories.
For many residents of small towns and villages, Ukrposhta will be the main partner in this initiative, ensuring prompt and convenient delivery of payments.
«Supporting our citizens is the most crucial task this winter, especially in frontline communities where the situation is most challenging. With Ukrposhta’s extensive network of over 4400 stationary and 1900 mobile post offices, assistance will reach everyone», noted Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba.
Last year’s experience showed that many Ukrainians, especially in remote areas, lack access to banking services, complicating the receipt of payments, particularly during power outages.
This issue is especially prominent in rural and mountainous areas, where banks and terminals are often unavailable.
Ukrposhta became indispensable in delivering assistance last year, facilitating payments for about 2 million citizens through its network. Among the 1.7 million people who utilized the program, over 1.2 million received aid in villages, and more than 500 thousand in cities, including over 171 thousand in frontline territories.
This year’s program retains many elements from last year, with some changes:
- Pensioners and recipients of social payments who receive them through Ukrposhta will automatically receive 1000 hryvnias on their pension payment day. They do not need to do anything except wait for their payment day.
- Citizens unable to apply via the «Diia» app (such as people with disabilities or those living in areas without connection) can apply through Ukrposhta from November 18 to December 24. This can be done at any post office or via mail carrier.
People with limited mobility who cannot visit a Ukrposhta office to submit their application can contact Ukrposhta’s hotline at 0 800 300 545.
After receiving an SMS notification about the funds allocation, one can visit a post office or wait for the mail carrier at home.
To apply, you need to have:
- a passport or another identification document;
- an identification code or a note in the passport about its absence;
- for children, applications must be submitted by parents;
- for guardians — identification of the guardian and a document confirming their guardianship status.
The received assistance can be spent directly at Ukrposhta:
- pay utility bills;
- subscribe to a newspaper;
- pay for postal services;
- order Ukrainian-made medicines;
- purchase Ukrainian goods;
- make a donation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrposhta has ensured high-quality service during the holiday season when the volume of parcels increases, ensuring clients can receive their packages promptly.
