The Prime Minister of Belgium, Bart De Wever, has called an urgent meeting of the government security council due to the discovery of drones. This was reported by Radio Liberty.
Last night, drones were detected in the country's airspace, leading to flight cancellations at several airports.
The meeting is scheduled for the morning of November 6 at the request of the Minister of the Interior, who urged discussions regarding the incidents that caused the cancellation of dozens of flights.
In the main airport of the Belgian capital, Brussels, flights were halted on the evening of November 4 due to suspicions of drone sightings, as confirmed by an airport spokesperson.
Air traffic was also suspended as a precaution at the country's second-largest airport, Charleroi.
