Commemoration of Military Engineers in Kyiv
In the capital of Ukraine, near the Arch of Freedom, a new memorial sign has been established to honor the bravery of military engineers. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via their official Facebook account.
“This memorial sign pays tribute to military engineers who pave the way for troops through perilous areas. They are always at the forefront,” stated the General Staff.
This monument symbolizes profound respect and gratitude towards those who sacrificed their lives, as well as those currently undertaking dangerous missions on the front lines.
Military engineering includes not only sappers but also fortification specialists, technical support, and anti-drone measures, as emphasized by the General Staff.
The event was attended by government representatives, servicemen, clergy, artists, and residents of the capital, who honored the fallen soldiers with a moment of silence. Military chaplains conducted prayers and blessed the memorial sign.
“May this small tribute remind future generations of the courage and daily heroism of military engineers,” remarked the General Staff.
It is worth noting that in Ukraine, November 3 is celebrated as the Day of Military Engineers, established by the President's decree on October 27, 1999.
