TAF Industries Unveils New Electronic Warfare System for Armored Vehicles
Ukrainian company TAF Industries has launched an innovative electronic warfare system known as "Quasar-A" aimed at safeguarding armored vehicles and transport. The manufacturer has shared details about the capabilities of this new system in their post.
TAF Industries describes the electronic warfare system as an effective countermeasure against suicide drones and multirotor UAVs. Key features of the "Quasar-A" include:
- 360° coverage with a range of up to 300 m;
- Suppression of control and video transmission channels;
- Five channels, each with 100 W power;
- Any frequency bands available upon request.
"Quasar-A" creates an active interference field, blocking control signals and video feeds. Magnetic mount antennas allow for deployment within 5 minutes. It operates in rain, dust, and freezing temperatures, boasts an IP66 protection rating, and offers up to 2 hours of autonomy. According to TAF Industries' video, "Quasar-A" maintains the defense line, protects the crew, and saves lives."
Furthermore, in September, TAF Industries announced the codification of the FPV drone Kolibri 13-O with a fiber-optic communication channel. This drone is an enhanced version of the standard Kolibri model, specifically designed to operate in dense electronic warfare conditions. The manufacturer points out that the new model has features that make the UAV a "cheat code" on the battlefield.
