New Green Heart in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv
On October 14, a new planting of thuja took place in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv, enhancing the park on the avenue of Petro Hryhorenko, 36-38. This marked the final touch in the area’s improvement project. The information was shared by the "Kyivzelenbud" municipal enterprise.
The event was attended by the head of the Darnytsia District State Administration, Oleksandr Kovtunov, acting general director of "Kyivzelenbud" Olga Manko, and director of the KP UZN for the Darnytsia district, Lyudmila Filinska.
Oleksandr Kovtunov emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to landscaping the district. Under his initiative, the KP UZN is actively conducting monthly improvement campaigns aimed at enhancing the green zones.
"Our goal is to create comfortable green spaces for everyone: children, adults, seniors, and people with disabilities. The key is to allow everyone to enjoy nature and spend time here with pleasure," said Olga Manko.
As part of the project, 85 trees, nearly 2,000 bushes, over 700 ornamental grasses, and about 1,200 perennial flowers were planted here.
Lyudmila Filinska pointed out that the first part of the park was completed last year, and this year the work on the second part has been finalized. Now the area is not only green but also equipped with comfortable amenities.
Today, this park is not just a green space amid dense construction; it has become a cozy spot beloved by local residents.
