Ukrainians will soon be able to receive notifications about who is accessing their data in the registers and for what purpose.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
"We are about to launch a notification system in Diia, enabling you to see who has accessed your information in the registers and for what reasons. The government has adopted a resolution that initiates a monitoring subsystem for data access in Trembita," it said in the announcement.
When someone's data is checked in the registers, they will receive a notification in Diia. Every instance of access will be recorded in the system.
For instance, when a government agency needs your data to provide a service, an employee makes a request in the register. Following this, the individual will receive a notification in Diia with all the details of the request.
However, notifications about data interactions will not be sent in cases related to crime investigations, counterintelligence, anti-terrorism efforts, or pre-trial investigations.
"A similar service already operates in Estonia, called Data Tracker," the agency added.
