During the summer of 2025, Kyiv experienced five new temperature records.
This information is based on data from the combined hydrometeorological station, as reported by the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Sreznevsky.
All records were registered between June 6 and June 8.
On June 7, the average daily temperature reached 7.2°C, exceeding the previous record from 2011 by 1.5°C.
Only in July was the average temperature 1.3°C above normal.
Other months were cooler compared to the averages of previous years.
«The coldest day of summer was August 25, when the temperature dropped to 9.9°C, while the hottest day was July 7, when it soared to +34.4°C,» experts noted.
In total, there were 202 mm of precipitation recorded over the summer, which is 102% of the climatic norm.
July was the wettest month, with rainfall exceeding one and a half times the normal amount.
