Since the start of the firearm declaration process in Ukraine, citizens have registered 11,738 firearms and over 5 million ammunition rounds.
This information was provided by the National Police of Ukraine.
«As of August 25, 2025, 10,687 individuals have approached the police, declaring 11,738 firearms and 5,413,413 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, without declaration, 347 firearms and 58,630 rounds of ammunition have been surrendered,» stated the NPU.
As previously reported, on August 14, 2025, the NPU informed that about fifty individuals approach the police daily for firearm declarations.
On November 25, 2024, a law came into effect in Ukraine titled «On Ensuring the Participation of Civilian Persons in the Defense of Ukraine,» regulating the acquisition, declaration, and handling of firearms.
