New Night Transportation System in Kyiv
Bolt, Uklon, and Uber have reached out to Kyiv's mayor Vitali Klitschko with a proposal to establish a new night transportation system for individuals in need.
In a letter obtained by the editorial office, it is stated that these companies are ready to quickly implement a system that meets safety and data protection requirements.
“We urge you to consider the possibility of introducing an improved system that would contribute to the development of a transparent transportation market and increase budget revenues,” the company representatives note.
The importance of legal and safe regulation of night transportation for those with genuine needs is emphasized by the companies.
The companies are convinced that the new system will help prevent illegal night transportation.
“We aim to provide convenient conditions for transportation, combining speed, service quality, and transparency,” they stress.
“Our operations are fully compliant with Ukrainian legislation and safety standards, ensuring comfort and safety for every ride,” the appeal states.
At the same time, the companies highlight the increasing number of media reports about transportation during the curfew, which often occur in a “shadow” mode.
“Drivers and passengers find themselves in uncertain situations, and the city loses control and revenue,” the letter states.
“The example of Lviv shows that digital platforms can successfully operate at night with proper cooperation from the city authorities,” the company concludes.
