Inspection of Ukrainian Forces in the Black Sea
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine's military intelligence, inspected the positions of the “Timur Special Unit” on Snake Island and gas extraction platforms in the Black Sea.
He reviewed the forces involved in defending the waters, including the so-called “towers”, which have been returned to Ukraine's lawful control due to successful operations by the military intelligence and other security forces.
During his visit to the Black Sea region, Budanov held a meeting with officers regarding the next steps within the overall strategy and awarded members of the “Timur Special Unit” for their professionalism and bravery in defending our country amid the war with Russia.
They also honored the memory of the soldiers who fell during the liberation of Snake Island and the Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea from Russian occupiers.
“Honor to the fighters of military intelligence and all security and defense forces of Ukraine! Our decisive struggle against the aggressor at sea, on land, and in the air has demonstrated to the world that a united Ukrainian nation can defeat even a stronger enemy. Whatever anyone says, the future of Ukraine depends solely on us. The fight continues,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
