New Ticket Verification Rules by Ukrzaliznytsia
As of August 1, Ukrzaliznytsia has implemented a new verification process via "Diya.Sign" for purchasing tickets on three trains, reducing the number from five.
This was announced by the company's press service.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, this decision was made in response to numerous complaints from dissatisfied passengers.
Verification will be required for purchasing tickets on the following domestic routes:
- Kyiv — Uzhhorod (trains №29/30),
- Lviv — Odesa (train №12),
- Kyiv — Chop (trains №27/28).
Thus, the previous list has excluded trains №105/106 Odesa – Kyiv and №91/92 Lviv – Kyiv.
Additionally, to purchase or return tickets for these routes, passengers will need to verify their account in the Ukrzaliznytsia app.
To accommodate passengers who do not have a new-style passport or the ability to update, the company has kept ticket sales available at several ticket offices:
- Chop (ticket office №2);
- Uzhhorod (ticket office №2);
- Lviv (ticket office №1);
- Odesa (ticket offices №14 and №2);
- Kyiv (ticket offices №21 and 22).
"We are closely monitoring the results of this pilot project to determine whether to extend such practices to other routes," the company stated.
