The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are steadfastly defending our nation on water, land, and in the air, taking all necessary measures to ensure Ukraine's safety.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a Facebook post commemorating the Day of the Naval Forces.
Together with all branches of defense, the Navy has shown that Ukraine is capable and will uphold its interests.
“There will be no Russian landing in Odesa, the “Moscow” has sunk, Snake Island is under Ukraine's control, 28 Russian vessels and one submarine have been destroyed or damaged, and the “grain corridor” is operational, supporting global food security,” emphasized Zelensky, as he congratulated the naval forces on their day.
The Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine has been celebrated since 2015 on the first Sunday of July, according to the presidential decree from June 12, 2015.
