New Developments for Boryspil Airport: International Assistance
Boryspil International Airport is scheduled to receive technical assistance from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) from 2025 to 2028, which includes the supply of equipment for AODB/AOC information systems.
This information is included in the project "Strategy for the Development of Civil Aviation in Ukraine until 2030", which approves the operational plan for implementation in 2025-2027, as reported by "Interfax-Ukraine".
During the 2025-2028 period, the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will implement an international technical assistance project titled "Modernization of Boryspil Airport for Safe and Efficient Air Transportation", registry number 2024-00124 dated January 10, 2025.
The project is funded by the government of the Republic of Korea with the aim of improving passenger service conditions at the airport and enhancing navigational safety in civil aviation through the modernization of operations and equipment at State Enterprise Boryspil International Airport.
KOICA has published a tender announcement for project support at Boryspil Airport, inviting experts to assist in selecting local suppliers for AODB (the central airport information system) and AOC (the physical or virtual center for airport operations management).
The total tender amount is $1.1 million. Experts will be engaged from the moment the contract is signed until 2028.
The civil aviation development strategy project indicates that assistance is expected from partner country airports in the form of free transfer of vehicles and technical equipment to designated Ukrainian airports.
