A new mural has been unveiled at the Central Bus Station in Kyiv, dedicated to the military scouts of Ukraine's GUR special unit known as "Artan".
This unit has become a symbol of bravery due to its unique and complex operations, as reported by the GUR.
"Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, the fighters of 'Artan' have participated in crucial battles for Kyiv and Donetsk regions, defended Bakhmut, Kupiansk, Chasiv Yar, and Zaporizhzhia, liberated Kharkiv region, restored the 'Boyko towers', ensured the safety of the grain corridor, and conducted complex operations behind enemy lines," GUR stated.
The mural was created by artist Diana Sorokina, depicting key moments from various 'Artan' operations.
"Each operation came at a great cost, paid by the best among us. The names of those who did not return will forever remain in our memory. However, this artwork is not just a memory, but rather a call to responsibility for the future. We have no right to stop," emphasized 'Artan' commander Viktor Torkotyuk, call sign 'Titan'.
Earlier, Kyiv approved the regulations for the creation, preservation, and dismantling of murals.
