New Coin Honors Lyubov Panchenko
On April 15, World Art Day, a new commemorative coin titled «The World of Couture Art. Lyubov Panchenko» was presented, honoring the remarkable artist and designer Lyubov Panchenko, whose work has left a significant mark on Ukrainian culture.
This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine.
The coin, with a nominal value of 10 hryvnias, is made of 925 silver. It features the quality of «special uncirculated» and weighs 31.1 g, with a diameter of 38.6 mm. The edge of the coin is smooth with incised inscriptions indicating the metal, its standard, and the logo of the Banknote and Minting Factory.
The obverse of the coin depicts a stylized portrait of Lyubov Panchenko, framed by elements of her renowned work «Bucha Spring».
The artist's gaze, filled with creative energy, seems to transcend time, symbolizing her dedication to her ideals. The composition emphasizes her deep connection to her homeland.
«Bucha Spring» is not just a painting; it is a manifesto of beauty and resilience, as it is in Bucha, where she was born, that this extraordinary figure emerged. This image has left an indelible mark on the memory of the city and in the hearts of her admirers, becoming a symbol of faith in renewal.
The designer is artist Andriy Sahach and the sculptor is Volodymyr Dmyanenko.
Presenting the new coin, National Bank Chairman Andriy Pyshny stated: «This coin, like the art of Lyubov Panchenko, will forever preserve the echo of her extraordinary personality and the essence of Ukrainian culture. It honors the resilience of Ukrainian art and the invaluable contribution of the artist to its development.»
