New Border Crossing Point Opens on Ukrainian-Hungarian Border

On April 8, a new border crossing point "Great Palad – Nadjhodosh" commenced operations at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border in the Transcarpathian region.

According to "European Truth", this was confirmed by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

The new border crossing point "Great Palad – Nadjhodosh" is designated for passenger cars weighing up to 3.5 tons and will operate daily from 7 AM to 6 PM.

It is anticipated that 200 passenger vehicles and 600 pedestrians will cross the border through this point each day.

Deputy Prime Minister for Ukraine's Recovery, Oleksii Kuleba, stated that a fully functional border crossing point is planned for the future.

He emphasized that this is the first new crossing point on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border opened in recent decades.

Overall, there are five operational vehicle crossing points on the Ukraine-Hungary border, with the largest being the "Chop – Zakhon", which is the only one authorized for trucks over 7.5 tons.

Remember, in December 2024, the "Luzhanka – Beregshurany" crossing point became accessible for empty trucks weighing over 7.5 tons.
