During the 1000 days of full-scale aggression, 52,214 newborns came into the world in Kyiv, while 65,655 couples tied the knot. This information was shared by Mykola Povoroznyk, the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, on his Facebook page.
Since February 24, 2022, a total of 65,655 marriages have been registered in the capital. Despite air alerts and missile strikes, 52,214 infants were born in maternity wards: 26,840 boys and 25,374 girls. Among the newborns, there were 933 sets of twins and 7 triplets.
“For 1000 days, our military has been defending Ukraine from the aggressor. Medical professionals are saving lives, while utility workers are restoring infrastructure. Educators continue to impart knowledge to children despite the challenges. We must all contribute to achieving Victory!” emphasized Mykola Povoroznyk.
He also wished love and harmony to newly formed families and good health to the newborns and their parents.
