Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso have signed an agreement to financially support Ukraine's energy sector.
According to "European Truth," Shmyhal announced this on his Facebook page.
The agreement allows Ukraine to access 270 million euros under state guarantees, along with a grant of 140 million euros from Norway.
"This will enable Naftogaz of Ukraine to import significant volumes of natural gas in preparation for the upcoming heating season," Shmyhal explained.
He also noted that since the onset of the full-scale war with Russia, EBRD has mobilized over 6 billion euros for Ukraine in the form of loans, grants, and guarantees.
Earlier, it was reported that by 2025, EBRD plans to invest at least 1.5 billion euros to support Ukraine's economy and businesses during wartime.
Of this amount, 1 billion euros is expected to be allocated to support the energy sector.
