Charitable Auction in Support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On December 4th, a charity auction took place at the Boris Grinchenko Kyiv University, dedicated to the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The event featured unique handmade items created by students and faculty, including paintings, photographs, books, and more.
Guests were invited to participate and purchase their favorite items to support Ukrainian defenders. Representatives from various university departments joined the event, raising a total of 103,015 UAH.
Acting rector, Oleksandr Turuntsev, expressed gratitude to all participants for their engagement and emphasized the importance of military support for the university.
"We are sincerely grateful to all defenders of Ukraine for their courage and strength. What you have done for our country will be remembered forever. We will do everything we can to support you," he stated.
During the event, awards were presented to three students balancing their studies with military service. David Vegera, a first-year student in Physical Therapy, received an award for his service in the National Guard.
Dmytro Lemskyi, a first-year student in Physical Education, also received recognition for joining the Armed Forces as a volunteer at the onset of the invasion.
Another awardee, Dmytro Hryhor-Zhvaniya, is a machine gunner who defended Kyiv and participated in combat operations across several regions.
The university also expressed appreciation for veterans undergoing rehabilitation at Grinchenko, highlighting the significance of their recovery.
